Church Street School for Music and Art
Lower Manhattan's community school for the arts, Church Street School has served over 6,000 families since its inception in 1990. Church Street School provides unique, process-oriented art and music education to students of all ages. Dedicated to the idea that individual experience and personal discovery foster creative thinking and confidence, Church Street School's programs are designed to give expression to a student's natural musical and artistic sensibility through direct, physical participation while providing a strong foundation in technique and theory. All classes are taught by Church Street School's highly-trained professional faculty of teaching artists and musicians.
Sometimes life can feel like a circus, why not work it into your exercise program? InShape Circus helps create a personalized and unique environment that allows students to surpass their physical and mental expectations in a non-competitive environment, building self-confidence and personal growth. InShape Circus offers classes for the whole family using traditional circus arts like static trapeze, silks, tumbling, acrobatics and more.
Baby Fingers programs are designed to promote family communication while enhancing your baby or toddler's motivation to speak using sign language and music. Signing with your child can improve vocabulary and literacy skills, decrease frustration and refine motor coordination and spatial reasoning skills. Baby Fingers' interactive parent/baby sign language, massage and yoga classes help parents bond with their children, nurturing and supporting your baby's physical, cognitive and emotional development.
Battery Park City Parks Conservancy
Battery Park City contains nearly 36 acres of open space, including beautifully designed and maintained parks and public gardens, playing fields and playgrounds, plazas and walkways. Operated by the Battery Park City Parks Conservancy and Battery Park City Authority, parks and public spaces are the heart of our community. Battery Park City Parks Conservancy's classes, events and public programs offer something for everybody, from fishing and painting to dancing and nature walks. From May through October, the Battery Parks City Parks Conservancy sponsors a wide range of outdoor activities, including music and dance performances, gardening and bird watching classes, walking tours, family programs, sports, art making and more.
Kicking the Spectrum
Kicking The Spectrum® is a martial arts program developed to teach and motivate students with special needs. This innovative program incorporates fitness and wellness into the fundamentals of Japanese Shotokan Karate. Kicking The Spectrum® combines a martial arts instructor with a behavioral therapist in every class.
Super Duper Tennis
Super Duper Tennis aims to teach the FUNdamentals of tennis to kids 10 years and under in an educational and exciting environment that enhances self-esteem, builds confidence, and overall love for the game. They focus on simple and fun teaching techniques that are easy to learn, adopt, and apply.
Kate Tempesta's Urban Golf Academy
Kate Tempesta's Urban Golf Academy is a unique program that introduces children to the game of golf as early as age four. Our proprietary techniques get children not just interested in the game, but also engaged for years to come.
